The evaluation of spice grinder
Works fine, clean up is a bit messy
This grinder works quickly and effectively. The only downside is the static that builds up on the plastic lid and internals.Coffee grounds stick to the plastic and require a bit more effort to clean up.
No Doubt - It's a Great Product
It's little small, but do most of the job. I purchased to grind Indian Spices and as of now its looks good.Reasonable price with free shipping. Thanks Amazon.
A very good product for what it is
I purchased this product to grind variety of things such as flax seeds, nuts, garlic, and ginger. It works great for flax.I tried on garlic, didn't work quite as well.It was uneven and I ended with mushy garlic mixed with large chunks.I give it benefit of the doubt that it's probably not made for garlic. It does say coffe and spice mill.I think it does what it's supposed to do well.
Powerful Spice Grinder
I use this grinder to grind flaxseed which I sprinkle on foods to get my healthy Omega3 oils each day. It does a wonderful job.
Best Coffee Grinder I've Owned
I've been grinding my own coffee beans since the early eighties and since then I've owned a few different grinders, including the Krups Fast Touch and a similarly priced model made by Braun. I also own a burr grinder, which is good when I want to grind enough beans to last a few days or a week. The Krups GX4100 is by far my favorite. It's quiet, the lid locks on during grinding, it grinds fast, it feels powerful, I like the high tech look, and ground coffee seems to stick to the inside of the lid and the grinder far less than with cheaper grinders. It is necessary for me to carefully brush the ground coffee from the lid and grinder into a coffee filter, but for me this is part of the ritual of preparing a nice cup of coffee from freshly ground beans. I'm glad I purchased this grinder.
Great to Speed up Processing
My family has nagged me for years to get a spice grinder for holiday gift making instead of doing it all by hand. Much to my pleasure, this grinder chops spices to just the right fineness for the products I make (ranging from gourmet mustards to barbecue rub). It's the perfect size for space limited counters, very quiet, and easy to clean up. The top is a firm fit, but you want that with loose spices. The only time it won't go into place is if there's remnant herb blocking it (again, something you want to KNOW about in cooking). It's also strong. Other grinders I've hand don't handle dried whole ginger root well at all, for example. This one barely notices! I am very happy with this.
Heavy duty
Nice product. Does the job well with coffee beans. The only criticism I have is that it sticks some of the coffee to the bottom once ground and you have to scrape it.
Since you cannot wash it we use a paint brush.
