The principle of grinding mill

The grinding mill is currently being assembled and will be implemented into the existing circuit in order to increase thoughput in the mill twofold. During assembly of the grinding mill, processing of the 250 tonne high grade gold-bearing sample blocks will continue utilizing the current set up.

what is the grinding mill, how does it work? In cambridge dictionary, as says that a machine for crushing or cutting something into very small pieces. In my words, A grinding mill crushes material between two closely placed, heavy objects like stones. They are rotating with respect to one another so the material gets crushed like in a mortar and pestle.

How does grinding mill work?

Observation and research finding indicate that earliest type of grinding mill is called a quern-stone. Two heavy stones which fit together. The top rotates and the corn (etc) is trapped between the two stones. The faces usually have small groves carved into then, and these function a lot like the teeth on a file. The corn gets "stuck", and other side rotates, and files away the free surface of the stuck grain . There's LOTS of different patterns for these groves. Different ones are probably better for different grains.
